... Hard freeze warning remains in effect until 11 am EDT /10 am
CDT/ this morning...

* event... a hard freeze is occurring over most of the region early
this morning. Temperatures are in the 20s area-wide.

* Timing... abundant sunshine and return of southerly winds will
allow temperatures to warm quickly this morning. Temperatures
will warm at or above freezing by around 10 et (9 am ct).

* Impacts... the prolonged period of freezing temperatures will kill
Strawberry plants and blooms of any fruit trees if not protected.
