* at 100 PM EST an area of moderate to locally heavy rain continued
to move across east Tennessee. Radar is estimating between 1 and 2
inches has already fallen across much of the advisory area.
Remnants of Ida will continue to pull north across the region
through this afternoon with additional rainfall between 2 and 3
inches possible. The persistent rain and saturated soil may produce
ponding of low lying areas and small stream flooding.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause elevated levels on
small creeks and streams... and ponding of water in urban
areas... highways... streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage areas and low lying spots.
