Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.
You should keep informed... and be ready for quick action if
flooding is observed or if a Flash Flood Warning is issued. If
you come to a closed or flooded Road... turn around! Don't drown!

* at 04pm Tuesday the stage was 7.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 18.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river will rise to near 16.0 feet tomorrow early
afternoon.
* At 18.0 feet... water begins to cross Mack Smith Road in Catoosa
County, Georgia. Flooding begins at Golf courses near the
confluence of south and west Chickamauga creeks. West Chickamauga
creek begins to overflow its banks, as well.

The rainfall amounts listed below are listed by the County into
which the rain falls, and then the Reservoir/Basin into which the
water will flow after it hits the ground. For example, rain falling
at McGhee-Tyson Airport will flow into Ft. Loudon-Tellico Lake.
