Greene... Sullivan... Unicoi and Washington TN. In southwest

* Until 1 PM EST this afternoon

* additional rainfall amounts near one and one half inches are
expected this morning across the watch area. Locally higher
amounts will be possible.

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.
You should keep informed... and be ready for quick action if
flooding is observed or if a Flash Flood Warning is issued. If
you come to a closed or flooded Road... turn around! Don't drown!

... The Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory remains in effect until
345 am EST for Greene... Carter... Unicoi... Johnson... Sullivan and
Washington counties...

At 139 am EST Doppler radar continued to indicate moderate to
occasionally heavy rain of one quarter to one half inch per hour
across northeast Tennessee and this rain will continue at least the
next two hours.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause elevated levels on
small creeks and streams... and ponding of water in urban areas...
highways... streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage
areas and low lying spots.

A Flood Advisory means river or stream flows are elevated or ponding
of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
