Statement as of 10:48 PM CDT on July 05, 2015

The National Weather Service in Rapid City has issued a

* small stream Flood Advisory for...
northwestern Tripp County in south central South Dakota...
east Central Mellette County in south central South Dakota...

* until 1045 am CDT Monday

* at 1044 PM CDT... Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause small stream flooding in the
advisory area. Doppler radar has estimated that 2 to 5 inches of
rain has fallen along a line from Witten to Mosher... north to the
White River.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Mosher and locations along Highway 183 north of Witten.

This includes the following streams and drainages... Oak Creek... Dog
Ear creek... Owl Creek... thunder creek... Cottonwood
Creek... white thunder creek... Louis creek and little Dog Creek.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams... as well as country roads. Do not attempt to
travel across flooded roads. Find alternate routes.
