A Winter Storm Watch remains in effect from Wednesday evening through Friday afternoon. * Timing... snow will spread north across the area Wednesday afternoon and evening... taper off for a time Wednesday night... and become widespread again Thursday and Thursday night. * Accumulations... snowfall totals of 10 to 14 inches will be possible with this storm with the heaviest amounts likely across southwest Minnesota. * Wind and visibility... northeast winds of 10 to 20 mph can be expected Wednesday and Wednesday and increase to 25 to 35 mph out of the north Thursday through Friday. The wind combined with the snow may reduce visibilities to near zero at times. Precautionary/preparedness actions...
