Winter Storm Watch
Statement as of 10:23 PM CST on March 01, 2015

... Winter Storm Watch in effect from Monday evening through
Tuesday morning...

The National Weather Service in Rapid City has issued a Winter
Storm Watch... which is in effect from Monday evening through
Tuesday morning.

* Timing... late Monday night into Tuesday morning.

* Main hazard... snowfall of 2 to 4 inches along with northwest
winds gusting in excess of 40 mph may produce greatly reduced
visibilities due to blowing snow.

* Impacts... travel may become very difficult late Monday night and
Tuesday across southwest and south central South Dakota.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Storm Watch means snow and strong winds are possible.
Monitor NOAA Weather Radio... local radio or television... or the
internet for updates on this potentially dangerous storm. Take
time to prepare for severe winter conditions before the storm
develops.
