A Blizzard Warning remains in effect until noon CST /11 am MST/ Saturday.
* Periods of snow will intensify tonight and Friday. The snow will continue through Saturday morning... diminishing through the day Saturday.
* Snowfall amounts are expected to range from 9 to 12 inches across central and north central South Dakota and 11 to 16 inches in the James Valley east.
* Northwest winds will increase to 25 to 40 mph by tonight... with higher gusts likely. These strong northwest winds will continue through Saturday morning and produce windchills of -20 to -34 degrees.
* Intense snowfall rates of an inch or two an hour will be possible tonight through Friday. Areas of blowing snow will become widespread tonight as north winds increase to 25 to 40 mph with higher gusts creating near whiteout conditions. I-29 is closed from the Iowa border to the North Dakota border.
