The Winter Storm Warning is now in effect from 11 am this morning to 5 PM MST Friday. * Snow will develop over the area today and continue through Friday. * Snow accumulations of 5 to 9 inches are expected across the area by Friday afternoon. * Northwest winds will increase tonight and continue through Friday... causing areas of blowing snow... reducing visibilities to less than one half mile at times. * Northwest winds will combine with frigid temperatures to produce wind chill values of 15 below to 30 below zero by Thursday night. Precautionary/preparedness actions... A Winter Storm Warning means heavy snow... strong wind... freezing precipitation... and cold temperatures will create dangerous conditions.
