... High Wind Warning remains in effect until 9 PM CST this
evening...

* timing... the strongest winds should occur from very late this
morning through early evening. Windy conditions will continue
through all of Sunday night.

* Weather conditions... sustained wind speeds between 30 and 40
mph are likely... with gusts to 55 mph or greater this
afternoon and early evening. The gusty winds will decrease
slightly heading through Sunday night... but will still range
between 25 and 40 mph.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A High Wind Warning means a hazardous high wind event is expected
or occurring. Sustained wind speeds of at least 40 mph or gusts
of 58 mph or more can lead to property damage.

... Strong winds leading to drifting snow over roadways...

Strong northwesterly winds will continue to produce minor blowing
and drifting snow over Road surfaces. While visibility due to
blowing snow has not been severely impacted... brief reductions
under 2 miles may be possible if scattered snow Showers Pass
through an area. Slippery spots are to be expected in many
locations... but especially in rural and open areas.

Drivers are urged to use extra caution through the overnight
hours as winds will not subside until mid-day Monday. Blowing
snow is expected to continue. Motorists are urged to reduce speed
and drive to conditions.
