Statement as of 2:20 PM CST on December 26, 2014

...Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect from 6 PM this evening to 9 am CST Saturday...

* timing...snow will gradually build northeast this evening with the best chance for accumulating snow from about 9 PM to 3 am. The snow will gradually shift northeast of the area Saturday morning.

* Accumulations...snowfall amounts of 2 to 4 inches will be possible with the highest amounts expected in portions of southwest Minnesota and northwest Iowa.

* Wind and visibility...north to northwest winds of 15 to 25 mph can be expected.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered roads and limited visibilities...and use caution while driving.
