This area of showers and storms will pass over the Charlotte Metro area between 3 and 5 PM as they move east southeast at 15 mph. The storms will have gusty wind and very heavy rain along with cloud to ground lightning.

... A strong thunderstorm will affect northeastern Chester and
southeastern York counties through 515 PM EDT...
At 424 PM EDT... National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated a
strong thunderstorm 6 miles northeast of McConnells... or 7 miles west
of Rock Hill... moving east at 15 mph.
* Other locations affected include but are not limited to Rock
Hill... McConnells... Edgemoor and Catawba.
Pea size hail... wind gusts of 30 to 40 mph... and heavy rainfall can
be expected with this storm.
