Winds on area lakes this evening will be north 15 to 25 knots... then
diminish to 10 to 20 knots late.

Strong low pressure near the North Carolina coast is responsible
for the winds.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A lake Wind Advisory indicates that winds will cause rough chop
on area lakes. Small boats and personal watercraft will be
especially prone to capsizing.
