... Coastal Flood Advisory in effect from 5 am to 9 am EST
Sunday...

The National Weather Service in Charleston has issued a coastal
Flood Advisory... which is in effect from 5 am to 9 am EST Sunday.

Elevated tides are once again expected to impact coastal South Carolina
early Sunday morning. The combination of high astronomical tides
and remnant swells from the departing storm off the mid Atlantic
coast will enhance the tidal departures during the next high tide
cycle... which will occur roughly between 630 am and 730 am Sunday.
Total tide levels will likely reach 7 to 7.3 feet mean lower low
water... which will produce shallow coastal flooding... especially
in the downtown Charleston area.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A coastal Flood Advisory indicates that winds and tides will
combine to generate some salt water flooding of low-lying areas
near the coast. Shallow coastal flooding begins along the
southern South Carolina coast when tides in the Charleston Harbor
reach 7.0 feet mean lower low water.

            Nos tide gage in Charleston Harbor reached 7.37 feet MLLW
            during the high tide. Shallow coastal flooding typically
            begins around 7.0 feet MLLW.

            during the high tide.
