Flood Warning
Statement as of 10:45 AM EST on November 23, 2009
... Flood Warning in effect from late tonight until further notice...
The National Weather Service in Charleston has issued a
* Flood Warning for
the lower Santee river near Jamestown.
* From late tonight until further notice.
* At 9 am Monday the stage was 9.6 feet... and rising.
* Flood stage is 10 feet.
* No flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage after midnight... and
continue rising to 11.2 feet early Friday morning.
* At 10.0 feet... swamplands near Jamestown become flooded. Logging
operations and cattle grazing in river bottomlands may be affected.
