The National Weather Service in Columbia has issued a lake Wind Advisory... which is in effect until 11 PM Thursday. Low pressure near the coast will bring northeast to north winds of 15 to 25 knots through Thursday. Precautionary/preparedness actions... A lake Wind Advisory indicates that winds will cause rough chop on area lakes. Small boats and personal watercraft will be especially prone to capsizing.

Statement as of 6:29 AM EST on November 11, 2009 You should be on the lookout for standing water and possible fallen trees today. Two to 5 inches of rain occurred over the central Savannah River area of Georgia and central South Carolina yesterday and last night. This has resulted in ponding of water in poor-drainage areas and along small streams. Do not attempt to drive on flooded roads. Wind gusts of 30 to 35 mph plus saturated soil may result in some downed trees... possibly across roadways. If you have to travel today... be careful and allow yourself extra time.
