... Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 5 am to 1 PM EST
Friday...

The National Weather Service in Wilmington has issued a Winter
Weather Advisory for freezing rain as well as some snow and
sleet... which is in effect from 5 am to 1 PM EST Friday.

* Locations... coastal Pender... New Hanover... Brunswick...
Darlington... Florence... Marion... and Horry counties.

* Hazard types... freezing rain... snow and sleet.

* Accumulations... ice accumulation of a trace to less than a tenth
of an inch. A light coating of snow and sleet is possible.

* Timing... Friday morning through early afternoon.

* Impacts... roadways and walkways will likely become very
slippery. Bridges and overpasses will be especially dangerous.

* Winds... northeast 5 to 10 mph.

* Temperatures... around 30 degrees early Friday morning... rising
slowly through the 30s through early afternoon.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of freezing rain... snow...
and sleet... will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
driving.





Flood Warning
Issued: 10:06 AM EST Feb. 11, 2016 – National Weather Service

The Flood Warning continues for
the Waccamaw at Conway.
* Until further notice.
* At 9:15 am Thursday the stage was 12.31 feet.
* Flood stage is 11.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 12.7 feet by early Monday
morning then begin falling.
* Impact... at 13.0 feet... flooding will occur in residential areas off business
501, Highway 905 and Highway 90. Water levels one foot deep will surround
approximately 20 homes in the Savannah Bluff area. Flood waters will also
surround homes in the Lees Landing, Pitch Landing and riverfront south
communities. Flooding will occur near a few homes on Oak street as well as at
Punch Bowl and Pitch Landing.

The Flood Warning continues for
the little Pee Dee at Galivants Ferry.
* Until further notice.
* At 9:00 am Thursday the stage was 10.74 feet.
* Flood stage is 9.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue to fall to a stage of 10.6 feet by tomorrow
morning.
* Impact... at 11.0 feet... flood waters will continue to rise in the Fork retch
community located near Nichols. Flood waters will begin to affect some homes
at Fork retch. Swampland flooding will increase.
