Lake Wind Advisory
Statement as of 7:03 AM EDT on September 05, 2008
... Lake Wind Advisory remains in effect from 2 PM this afternoon
to 6 am EDT Saturday...
Winds are expected to begin increasing over area lakes as
tropical system Hanna nears the coast of South Carolina this
afternoon. Winds will increase to 15 to 25 knots... with higher
gusts being possible. These winds are expected to continue through
the overnight hours.
A lake Wind Advisory indicates that winds will cause rough chop
on area lakes. Small boats and personal watercraft will be
especially prone to capsizing.
