The Flood Warning extended for the Congaree River at Carolina Eastman. * Until Monday evening... or until the warning is cancelled. * At 7 am Thursday the stage was 119.9 feet. * Flood stage is 115 feet. * Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. * Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 121.8 feet by tomorrow early afternoon. The river will fall below flood stage by Sunday November 15.

The Flood Warning extended for the Congaree River at Sandy Run. * From this evening to late Sunday night... or until the warning is cancelled. * At 1 PM Thursday the stage was 22.4 feet. * Flood stage is 23 feet. * Moderate flooding is forecast. * Forecast... the river will rise above flood stage tonight and crest around 24.3 feet tomorrow evening. The river will fall below flood stage by Sunday November 15. * At 24 feet... several homes in the Sandy Run subdivision along the river become flooded.

The Flood Warning continues for the Congaree River at Columbia. * From late tonight to Saturday afternoon... or until the warning is cancelled. * At 3 PM Thursday the stage was 16.5 feet. * Flood stage is 19 feet. * Minor flooding is forecast. * Forecast... the river will rise above flood stage after midnight tomorrow and crest around 19.4 feet tomorrow morning. The river will fall below flood stage by Friday. * At 19 feet... extensive swampland and large areas of farmland and pasture land downstream from Columbia become flooded.

Winds on area lakes this evening will be north 15 to 25 knots... then diminish to 10 to 20 knots late.
Strong low pressure near the North Carolina coast is responsible for the winds.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A lake Wind Advisory indicates that winds will cause rough chop on area lakes. Small boats and personal watercraft will be especially prone to capsizing.
