The lake Wind Advisory is now in effect from 4 PM this afternoon to 11 PM EST Thursday.
A strengthening area of low pressure off the Carolina coast will cause an increase in winds over Lake Moultrie later today... then continuing through Thursday. North winds around 20 knots with waves of 1 to 2 feet... highest on the southern and eastern portions of the lake... can be expected during this time. Conditions will improve by late Thursday night.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
Mariners should use extra caution on Lake Moultrie... especially on the Open Lake waters. Strong winds may lead to large waves which can capsize boats.
