Gusty winds are expected on Lake Moultrie this morning... as a strong cold front approaches the region from the west. Southwest winds 15 and 25 knots will become west and diminish to 15 kt or less this afternoon. Waves will be near 2 ft this morning... before subsiding this afternoon. Highest waves are expected over Open Lake waters prior to mid morning.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
Mariners should use extra caution on Lake Moultrie this morning... especially on the Open Lake waters. Strong winds may lead to large waves which can capsize boats.
