Through noon...showers...some with heavy rains and wind gusts to 30 mph...will move north through many areas of southeast South Carolina and southeast Georgia. An isolated thunderstorm is still possible. Most of the heavier rain will be along and to the east of Interstate 95. Rainfall amounts will reach 1 inch in some locations in less than an hours time...resulting in minor flooding problems. Be alert for ponding of water on area roadways.

The lake Wind Advisory is now in effect until 11 PM EST Thursday.
A strengthening low pressure system shifting up the southeast coast will create gusty winds on Lake Moultrie today through Thursday. North winds of 20 to 25 knots with higher gusts are expected today through Thursday with waves of around 2 feet on the open waters. The most dangerous conditions will occur on the southern and eastern portions of the lake. Conditions will improve by late Thursday night.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
Mariners should use extra caution on Lake Moultrie... especially on the Open Lake waters. Strong winds may lead to large waves which can capsize boats.
