A lake Wind Advisory remains in effect until noon EST Friday.
A low pressure system will strengthen off the North Carolina coast through tonight resulting in gusty winds and rough boating conditions on Lake Moultrie. North winds of 20 to 25 knots with higher gusts are expected through Friday morning... with waves building to between 2 and 3 feet on the Open Lake waters. The most dangerous conditions will occur over the southern and eastern portions of the lake. Conditions will improve by late Friday morning or early afternoon.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
Mariners should use extra caution on Lake Moultrie... especially on the Open Lake waters. Strong winds may lead to large waves which can capsize boats.
