The only significant precipitation in the country was from the low pressure system that remained off the coast and provided moderate rain through New England.
The Southeast remained dry as a high pressure system began to build in the area.
A long front from the Plains through the Upper Midwest did not carry much moisture with it, thus only scattered precipitation was noted in Minnesota and Wisconsin.
A low pressure system began to develop over the Central Rockies, but only instigated some high elevation snow into the afternoon. This activity was expected to increase greatly into the evening and into Sunday so residents should be prepared.
A Pacific cold front continued its trek through the Intermountain West and Great Basin, but only provided scattered areas of rain and high elevation snow in the area.
