Weather Underground Forecast for Sunday, November 15, 2009. A developing low pressure system will become a significant storm as it moves through the Central Rockies and into the Plains. This storm will have the capacity to provide significant snow through the Central and Southern Rockies, thus various Winter Weather Advisories are posted from eastern Utah through western Kansas as several inches of snow will fall. This will be one of the first significant storms of the Fall and Winter season so residents should be aware of local weather conditions.

As the day progresses, precipitation will push into into the Plains as significant rain, especially along the cold front from the Southern Plains through the Mississippi Valley.

The secondary effect of the storm will be that it will precede cold air that will filter into the northern portion of the country and keep daytime temperatures cool to mild.

Meanwhile, a Pacific storm will slam into the Northwest and British Columbia. While the strongest effects of the storm will develop north of the border, rain and high elevation snow will fall in northern Washington.

The Northeast will experience dry conditions, while the warmest conditions will be experienced in the Southeast.

The Northeast will rise into the 50s and 60s, while the Southeast will see temperatures in the 60s, 70s, and some 80s. The Northern Plains will rise into the 40s and 50s, while the Rockies will see temperatures in the 20s and 30s. The Southwest will rise into the 70s and 80s.

Temperatures in the Lower 48 states Saturday ranged from a low of -4 degrees at Meeker, Colo. to a high of 90 degrees at Laredo, Texas.
