The National Weather Service in San Juan has issued a
* Flood Watch for a portion of Puerto Rico... surrounding the Rio culebrinas and Rio Anasco in the following areas... Mayaguez and vicinity and western interior.
* Through late tonight
* rains heavier than yesterday and over a wider area will increase the risk of flooding around the Rio culebrinas and Rio Anasco this afternoon and tonight.
* Minor flooding of these Two Rivers is possible beginning late this afternoon and the rivers will continue rising through the evening... resulting in some low water crossing closures and the flooding of pasture lands and lowlands surrounding the rivers.
A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on current forecasts.
