* at 1240 PM AST Doppler radar indicated solid lines of showers with embedded thunderstorms and very heavy rain moving rapidly towards or across the advisory area. So far estimated rainfall amounts have been between an inch to two inches with the heaviest downpours.
Additional rainfall amounts of as much as an inch are possible in the advisory area... and this will cause quick rises in river and streams at least until 445 PM.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
Most flood deaths occur in automobiles. Never drive your vehicle into areas where the water covers the roadway. Flood waters are usually deeper than they appear. Just one foot of flowing water is powerful enough to sweep vehicles off the Road. When encountering flooded roads make the smart choice... turn around... dont drown... and move to higher ground.
