Coastal Flood Advisory
Statement as of 9:54 AM EST on November 14, 2009
... Coastal Flood Advisory remains in effect until 1 PM EST this
afternoon...
A coastal Flood Advisory remains in effect until 1 PM EST this
afternoon.
A northeast to north wind will continue into early this
afternoon... and water will not be able to drain much from the
tidal sections of the Delaware River during the next day or so. As
a result... minor tidal flooding is expected around the times of
high tide today. This advisory may need to be extended in time if
additional minor tidal flooding looks likely.
High tide on the lower Delaware River occurs during the late
morning hours and around midday today.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A coastal Flood Advisory indicates that onshore winds and tides
will combine to generate flooding of low areas along the shore.
Do not drive through flood waters... the water may be deeper than
you think it is.
