Statement as of 6:29 AM EST on December 03, 2009 The National Weather Service in Mount Holly NJ has issued a * Flood Warning for... northwestern Montgomery County in southeast Pennsylvania... * until 930 am EST * at 625 am EST... the heavy rain has ended however the runoff is flowing into area creeks and streams. The river gage on the Perkiomen creek at East Greenville is above flood stage. As a result, some flooding is expected especially near the Perkiomen creek. The water level is expected to lower through the morning. Precautionary/preparedness actions... A Flood Warning means flooding is occurring or is imminent. Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause elevated levels on small creeks and streams. Ponding of water in urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage areas and low lying spots may linger. Do not drive through flooded areas. Lat...
