Statement as of 10:19 PM EST on February 28, 2015

... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect from 7 am Sunday to
7 am EST Monday...

* locations... portions of the western Mohawk Valley and
Susquehanna regions in New York... the northern tier counties
of Pennsylvania... and the Wilkes-Barre Scranton Metro area.

* Accumulations... totals of 3 to 5 inches by early Monday... with
amounts closer to 5 inches over the higher terrain... then
closer to 3 inches in the Metro valleys near Binghamton...
Scranton... and Wilkes-Barre.

* Timing... occasional light snow will spread into the region early
Sunday morning... generally between 6 and 10 am. The steadiest
and heaviest snowfall is expected from late Sunday afternoon
through the evening hours. Snow should taper off after midnight.

* Temperatures... ranging from the upper teens to mid 20s.

* Winds... south 5 to 10 mph... with gusts up to 20 mph.

* Impacts... snow covered slippery roads and walkways.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow will cause
travel difficulties. Be prepared for slippery roads and limited
visibilities... and use caution while driving.
