	Winter Weather Advisory
Statement as of 11:13 AM EST on December 08, 2009 ... Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 7 PM this evening to 11 am EST Wednesday... The National Weather Service in State College has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for snow and mixed precipitation... which is in effect from 7 PM this evening to 11 am EST Wednesday. The Winter Storm Watch is no longer in effect. Developing low pressure over the Southern Plains will track northeast into the Great Lakes tonight and Wednesday. This system will spread snow into the area this evening... followed by a wintry mix later tonight. 2 to 4 inches of snow will likely accumulate tonight before the changeover. A thin coating of ice from freezing rain will occur on top of the sleet and snow. Precautionary/preparedness actions... A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow... sleet... or freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for slippery roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while driving. Motorists should be especially cautious on bridges and overpasses... where slippery spots develop first.
