A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect from 1 am to 10 am
EST Wednesday.

Snow is expected to develop tonight and eventually change to rain
after daybreak Wednesday. A period of sleet and freezing rain is
possible during the changeover. Around 2 to 4 inches of snow
should fall... and up to a tenth of an inch of freezing rain is
possible... before the changeover to plain rain.

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow... sleet... or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
driving.

... Flash Flood Watch in effect from late tonight through
Wednesday afternoon...

The National Weather Service in Mount Holly has issued a

* Flash Flood Watch for portions of New Jersey and
Pennsylvania... including the following areas... in New Jersey...
eastern Monmouth... Hunterdon... Mercer... Middlesex... Morris...
Somerset... Sussex... Warren and western Monmouth. In
Pennsylvania... Berks... Bucks... Carbon... Chester... Delaware...
Lehigh... Monroe... Montgomery... Northampton and Philadelphia.

* From late tonight through Wednesday afternoon

* precipitation will start to overspread the area from the
southwest after midnight and will become heavy at times toward
daybreak. The precipitation will start off as a wintry mix
across northwestern New Jersey, the Lehigh Valley, and the
Poconos. Rain is expected elsewhere. A transition to all rain is
expected shortly after sunrise tomorrow. Heavy rain is then
forecast to continue through much of the day. Rainfall is
forecast to average one to two inches, with some three inch
amounts possible.

* The heavy rain could cause flooding in poor drainage areas and
along small streams and creeks such as the Perkiomen creek,
Brandywine Creek, and Neshaminy creek across southeast
Pennsylvania and along the Millstone River and Assunpink Creek
in central New Jersey. Rainfall rates may be quite high, also
resulting in flash flooding. No flooding is expected along
main Stem rivers such as the Delaware and the Schuylkill.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. If you live in a location that is prone to
flash flooding, be prepared to take action if a warning is
issued. If you observe rapidly rising water, move to higher
ground immediately.

Do not drive through flood waters. The water may be deeper than
you think it is.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.
