Statement as of 2:53 PM EDT on March 16, 2010 ... NOAA Weather Radio outage for Huntingdon listening area... Technicians will have to replace the transmitting antenna on the NOAA Weather Radio broadcasting from Three Springs... near Huntingdon... on a frequency of 162.525 megahertz. This repair is not expected to be able to be complete until early next week Listeners can try to monitor the NOAA Weather Radio frequencies surrounding the Huntingdon broadcast area while the work is being completed. The Altoona area weather radio is on 162.425 megahertz. The Harrisburg area weather radio is on 162.550 megahertz. The State College area weather radio is on 162.475 megahertz. We apologize for the outage... and hope to have the transmitter up an running as soon as possible.
