The National Weather Service in Pittsburgh has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for a wintry mix of precipitation... which is in effect from 6 PM this evening to 9 am EST Wednesday. The Winter Storm Watch is no longer in effect.
A combination of freezing rain... sleet and snow will overspread the region tonight. Expect ice accumulations of around one tenth of an inch... along with up to an inch of snow and sleet. This can result in hazardous traveling conditions as well as damage to property and power outages.
A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow... sleet... or freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. The National Weather Service in Pittsburgh has issued a Wind Advisory... which is in effect from 6 PM Wednesday to 6 am EST Thursday.
Winds will increase Wednesday night behind a cold front. Expect sustained winds between 25 and 30 mph with gusts to 55 mph.
