... Winter Weather Advisory now in effect from 5 am to 11 PM EST
Sunday...

* locations... the south-central mountains.

* Hazard types... snow. There is a chance of freezing rain in the
afternoon... but mainly to the south of the Turnpike.

* Snow accumulations... 2 to 4 inches.

* Ice accumulations... a trace.

* Timing... snow will overspread the region Sunday morning and
continue into late afternoon. Snow could mix with freezing rain
in the afternoon or evening... but most of the precipitation
should be snow. Most areas will see nothing more than flurries
after 4 or 5 PM on Sunday.

* Impacts... hazardous travel from snow or slush covered roads and
poor visibility at times. Across southern parts of the
state... untreated roadways and walkways may become icy if the
freezing rain mixes in to the snow.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Hazardous winter weather conditions are expected or occurring.
