...Flash Flood Watch in effect from 10 am EDT this morning through this evening...
The National Weather Service in State College has issued a
* Flash Flood Watch for a portion of central Pennsylvania... including the following areas...Adams...Cumberland...Dauphin... Franklin...Lancaster...Lebanon...Perry...Schuylkill and York counties.
* From 10 am EDT this morning through this evening.
* Recent rainfall has left the ground very wet in portions of the area. More heavy rain is expected as showers and thunderstorms develop again today. Some of the storms late this morning and this afternoon could make more than an inch of rain in less than an hour...and many areas could see more than one thunderstorm today. Therefore...flash flooding is possible...especially in areas which have had heavy rain over the past few days.
A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.
You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should flash flood warnings be issued.
