Statement as of 5:05 PM PST on December 15, 2009 ... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 10 PM PST this evening... A Winter Weather Advisory for snow in Baker County remains in effect until 10 PM PST this evening. * Snow amounts... 2 to 4 inches in the valleys with up to 5 inches elsewhere. * Snow levels... 3500 to 4500 feet but locally at the surface in colder wind-sheltered valleys. * Winds... southeast 10 to 20 mph. * Timing... through late tonight. * Impacts... travel difficulties on higher roads and in colder valleys. I-84 will be slushy spots. Precautionary/preparedness actions... A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while driving. |
