Special Weather Statement
Statement as of 6:10 AM PST on November 15, 2009
... Light freezing rain possible this morning and tonight... The leading edge of warm frontal precipitation will persist over the Cascades this morning and continue to impact the area for the next two nights and mornings. There will be a marginal warm layer setting up over the Cascades with cold air possibly trapped in the valleys along the east slopes. This combination has a slight potential to produce very light freezing rain during the morning hours. Precipitation amounts are expected to be a few hundredths of an inch or less... thus the main impact is expected to be black ice on roadways and especially on overpasses during the night time and early morning hours. There is only moderate confidence that this event will occur. Please continue to monitor the latest forecasts and statements from the National Weather Service or your local media outlets should additional statements be issued.
