Dense Fog Advisory
Statement as of 8:01 AM CST on November 12, 2009
... Dense fog advisory now in effect until 10 am CST this
morning...
The dense fog advisory is now in effect until 10 am CST this
morning.
Through 10 am... dense fog will continue to reduce visibility in some
areas to a quarter mile or less. The fog will be intermittent and
patchy in many areas... which will create hazardous driving
conditions due to the possibility of sudden reductions in
visibility. Increasing southerly winds will cause the fog to lift
very gradually... and visibility is expected to improve by late morning.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be
reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving... slow down...
use your headlights... and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.
