At 340 am CDT...a few small clusters of light showers may be affecting northeast Oklahoma. One was to the north of Claremore and primarily over Nowata County. Another was located from southeast Osage into northwest creek counties or to the west of Tulsa. The showers were moving to the east southeast at 20 miles an hour. Through 500 am...showers will continue to be possible across northeast Oklahoma. Rainfall will be light with totals of a hundredth of an inch or two likely at the most.

Hot and humid weather is expected across eastern Oklahoma and portions of west central Arkansas for the next several days as high pressure aloft builds over the area. Afternoon heat index values are expected to be in the 105 to 110 degree range with overnight lows ranging from the mid 70s to lower 80s.
