regional weather discussion... a few showers and isolated thunderstorms will continue across far northwest Oklahoma this evening. At 815 PM...very light rain will be possible... mainly north of a LaVerne to Freedom to Alva line. This activity will likely produce more wind than rain... some wind gusts over 40 mph will be possible. Otherwise hot conditions will continue this evening even with temperatures slowly cooling. Temperatures ranged from 104 degrees at Buffalo to 88 degrees in Newkirk. Temperatures will continue to slowly cool overnight with readings only dropping into the middle and upper 70s late tonight.
