At 1:43 PM...National Weather Service radars indicated weakening scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms across parts of eastern Oklahoma and western Arkansas. This activity was primarily confined to areas across east-central Oklahoma and west-central Arkansas...along and either side of Interstate 40. Movement was toward the east-southeast at around 30 mph. Through 3:00 PM...occasional showers and isolated thunderstorms will be possible for locations along the Interstate 40 corridor. The strongest of this activity will affect far southern creek and northern Okfuskee counties...where isolated locally heavy downpours and brief gusty winds to 40 mph are possible. Elsewhere...generally light showers will be common...resulting in average hourly rainfall of around one tenth of an inch.
