At 11:37 am...National Weather Service Doppler radars detected a few scattered rain showers developing over portions of southeast Oklahoma and western Arkansas...mainly along and east of a line from McAlester, to Fayetteville. All of this activity was moving toward the northeast...around 30 miles per hour. Through 1:00 PM...scattered rain showers and isolated thunderstorms will remain possible. Brief light rainfall can be expected, with precipitation amounts less than a tenth of an inch. If any of the showers become stronger, the could produce a quick downpour, with possible gusty winds. By mid afternoon, the coverage and intensity of the showers and storms is expected to increase...with a couple storms possibly becoming strong to severe.

... Flash Flood Watch in effect from this evening through
Wednesday evening...

The National Weather Service in Tulsa has issued a

* Flash Flood Watch for portions of east central Oklahoma and
northeast Oklahoma... including the following areas... in east
central Oklahoma... Okfuskee. In northeast Oklahoma... Craig...
creek... Delaware... Mayes... Nowata... Okmulgee... Osage...
Ottawa... Pawnee... Rogers... Tulsa... Wagoner and Washington OK.

* From this evening through Wednesday evening

* a swath of 3 to 5 inches of rainfall is forecast along and
northwest of a Okemah to Miami line... beginning Monday night and
continuing through Wednesday. Some isolated locations could
receive as much as 10 inches of rainfall before all is said and
done Wednesday night. Dangerous flash flooding will likely be
the result.
