At 4:30 PM...National Weather Service Doppler radars continued to detect widely scattered showers and thunderstorms developing across portions of eastern Oklahoma and western Arkansas. A few stronger storms were located south of Highway 44 in northeast Oklahoma. All of this activity was moving toward the southeast...around 25 miles per hour. Through 6:00 PM...scattered showers and thunderstorms will continue to develop across eastern Oklahoma and western Arkansas. Light to moderate rainfall can be expected...with amounts generally between a tenth to a quarter of an inch per hour. As daytime heating increases...the thunderstorms will become more prevalent. Some of the storms could become strong to severe...with the main threats being large hail and strong downburst winds. Cloud to ground lightning and heavy rainfall will also be likely.

At 536 PM CDT... Doppler radar indicated a strong thunderstorm 3
miles west of Hanna... moving southeast at 20 mph.

Wind gusts up to 50 mph will be possible with this storm.
