A Winter Weather Advisory for snow and blowing snow remains in effect until midnight CST Wednesday night for all of the Oklahoma Panhandle as well as the northwest and extreme north central Texas Panhandle.
* Timing: light snow is expected to develop late tonight. Periods of light to occasionally moderate snow will continue during the day on Wednesday before slowly tapering off late Wednesday night.
* Main impact: snowfall accumulations of 2 to 4 inches combined with north winds of 20 to 30 mph with higher gusts will likely cause areas of blowing snow by Wednesday evening. Visibilities will also be reduced to near one quarter of a mile at times. As a result... travel will likely become hazardous across the area Wednesday and Wednesday night.
* Other impacts: the strong north winds will cause wind chills to fall to around zero Thursday morning. In addition... areas of blowing snow may continue into Thursday even after the snow ends.
