regional weather discussion... thunderstorms will continue to develop and move across approximately the southern half to two-thirds of Oklahoma and western North Texas through midnight. The most widespread showers and thunderstorms will affect locations along and south of Interstate 40 into North Texas late this evening. The storms are generally moving east at 10 to 25 mph. Some of the storms may be strong producing small hail and gusty winds. However... all of the storms will likely produce frequent cloud to ground lightning and heavy rain which may cause ponding on area roadways. The chance for showers and thunderstorms will continue through the overnight hours across portions of Oklahoma and western North Texas. However... the best chance will gradually shift with a cold front as it moves south across the region. Isolated severe storms will still be possible producing large hail and strong winds.
Mostly cloudy. Chance of thunderstorms in the evening...then slight chance of thunderstorms after midnight. Lows in the upper 60s. North winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of thunderstorms 40 percent.
Sunday
Partly cloudy. Highs in the upper 80s. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph.
