Nowcast | as of 3:56 PM CDT on July 30, 2015

At 3:56 PM...National Weather Service Doppler radars continued to detect showers and thunderstorms developing across much of eastern Oklahoma and into western Arkansas...mainly along and southeast of a line from Okemah to Bentonville. A couple stronger storms were located within southern Adair and western McIntosh counties. The main threat with these storms will be strong downburst winds...along with brief heavy rainfall and cloud to ground lightning. All this activity was moving toward the southeast...around 20 miles per hour. Through 5:30 PM...scattered showers and thunderstorms will remain possible across portions of eastern Oklahoma and western Arkansas. Average rainfall will be around a tenth of an inch. Some of the storms could become strong to severe...with strong damaging winds being the main threat. Heavy rainfall and cloud to ground lightning will also be likely with any stronger storms.
