... Flood Warning extended until Saturday evening...

the Flood Warning continues for
the Washita river near Chickasha.

* Until Saturday evening... or until the warning is cancelled.

* At 7:30 am Wednesday the stage was 20.0 feet.

* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* Flood stage is 19.0 feet.

* Forecast... the Washita river will continue rising and crest near
21.3 feet mid Thursday morning. The Washita river will fall below
flood stage late Saturday afternoon.

* Impact... at 20.0 feet... flooding of croplands and pastures occurs
in Grady County... from upstream of Chickasha to near Tabler.
Overflow depths on agricultural fields vary... ranging up to 3
feet. The County Road west of Chickasha Airport is overtopped when
stages rise above 19 feet.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Washita river at Anadarko.

* Until further notice... or until the warning is cancelled.

* At 9:30 am Wednesday the stage was 23.6 feet.

* Major flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.

* Flood stage is 19.0 feet.

* Forecast... the Washita river will continue rising and crest near
23.8 feet early Wednesday afternoon then begin falling.

* Impact... at 24.0 feet... campgrounds in the Anadarko City Park and
nearby low areas are flooded. Floodwaters damage farm property and
block many rural roads along the Washita river in eastern Caddo and
western Grady counties... and could breach farm levees.

The National Weather Service in Norman has issued a

* Flood Warning for
the Canadian river near Union City.

* From this afternoon to Thursday morning... or until the warning is
cancelled.

* At 3:45 PM Tuesday the stage was 5.0 feet.

* Minor flooding is forecast.

* Flood stage is 7.0 feet.

* Forecast... the Canadian river will crest near 7.5 feet Wednesday
evening. The Canadian river will fall below flood stage early
Thursday morning.

* Impact... at 8.0 feet... overflows of 1 foot or more occur near the
river on the Canadian-Grady County border from near Union City...
and Minco to the vicinity north of of Tuttle. Sandpits...
agricultural lands... and low-lying local roads are the areas most
affected along the Canadian river. No towns are threatened.
