At 645 PM... an outflow boundary was located in northern Oklahoma near the Kansas Oklahoma state line with showers and thunderstorms developing north of the boundary. These storms were moving east. However... the outflow boundary will continue to slowly move south across parts of northern Oklahoma. Isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms will continue to develop near and north of this boundary and may affect portions of far northern Oklahoma through early this evening. The most likely areas to be affected will be north of a line from Perry... to Enid and Fairview... to Woodward Oklahoma. Light to moderate rain will be the main impacts. However... gusty winds and brief heavy rain will be possible with any strong storms that may develop. The showers and thunderstorms are expected to end around sunset due to the loss of heating. Meanwhile... hot conditions continue with temperatures in the 90s across the area at 645 PM. Conditions will remain warm overnight with temperatures eventually falling into the low to mid 70s across Oklahoma and western North Texas.

A heat advisory remains in effect until 10 PM CDT Sunday.
Through Sunday... high temperatures will remain consistent in the upper 90s to a few degrees over 100. Most temperatures will only fall into the middle and upper 70s at night. The duration of the current heat wave will increase the risk for heat related illness. If the weather pattern does not change... the heat advisory will likely be extended in time.
Drink plenty of fluids... stay in air conditioned rooms... stay out of the sun... and check on relatives and neighbors. Also... be sure pets have plenty of fresh water and a source of shade.
