regional weather discussion... an area of showers and thunderstorms will continue to move across portions of northern into central Oklahoma. At noon... locations from Kingfisher and Guthrie... east to Stillwater and Chandler will see rain. Rainfall amounts will between a tenth and a quarter of an inch per hour. These showers and thunderstorms will move east at 20 to 25 mph and are expected to gradually move east of the area between 1 and 2 PM. This area of showers and thunderstorms has also pushed a outflow boundary to the south of the activity... and at noon was located from near Holdenville and Seminole west to Norman and Clinton. This boundary is expected to act as a focus for additional development this afternoon. The activity expected to develop later today could be severe as daytime heating will lead to increasing instability. The main cold front remains farther north across central and southwest Kansas into the central Oklahoma Panhandle. This front may also act a focus for thunderstorm development later today and tonight.
